Courage in Motion 10-Hour Dance-a-Thon is a fundraiser to support the Beads of Courage organization. The 10-Hour Dance-a-Thon will take place on April 2nd from 10:00 am-8:00 pm in the Bear Down Gym on the University of Arizona campus. Teens ages 12-18 years of age are encourage to register to participate. A $60 minimum donation is required to participate, with Apple ® products available to those teens who raise more funds to support the mission of Beads of Courage. The public is encouraged to stop by and encourage the teens, and to register their bone marrow in honor of Lizzie Bell, the First Annual Dance-A-Thon Grand Marshall. The Event will include free food, entertainment, t’shirt, and prizes for those who participate. The mission of Beads of Courage is to provide innovative, arts-in-medicine , supportive care programs for children coping with cancer and other serious illness. Currently Beads of Courage helps more than 15,000 children coping with serious illness RECORD, TELL, and OWN their stories of COURAGE in 90 children’s hospitals throughout the United States.
